The Selkie's Revenge

Sirenide draws its inspiration from the dark myths of the Orkney Islands (Scotland), where Selkies, creatures half-woman, half-seal, haunt the shores. Beaufort London revisits this legend with cruelty: here, the creature does not submit, she poisons her captor to reclaim her leather skin. The opening is of fascinating strangeness, blending the aquatic notes of water iris with the toxic bitterness of almond and anise. The aquatic floral heart slowly fades to give way to a textured and unsettling base. Pinseal leather (seal skin) mingles with PVC and ambergris in an animalic and deeply marine sillage. A disturbing, almost supernatural fragrance.
